This month we're recording a program with renowned moral philosopher Peter Singer on his birthday (at least for him in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia), which reminded us that July is the birth month of several philosophers we've featured on the program over the years. So for this month's playlist we've put together a lineup of thinkers whose birthdays straddle the Cancer/Leo divide: Gottfried Leibniz (July 1, 1646), Marcel Proust (July 10, 1871), Walter Benjamin (July 15, 1892), Jacques Derrida (July 15, 1930), and Karl Popper (July 28, 1902).
